We train together every Monday – open to students, university staff and everyone who loves to dance.
Since 1998 the University Ballet Ulm has brought dance enthusiasts together, whether students, university staff or ballet lovers from the city. Everyone who enjoys classical ballet is welcome. From beginners to advanced dancers we value a warm atmosphere, artistic development and the shared experience of dance and music.
Our instructor Dr. med. Kay Astrid Weithöner brings decades of ballet practice and a ballet pedagogy degree from Paris. Together with dedicated members we keep the group alive and the semester fees fair.
Our training starts with roughly 30 minutes of warm-up on the mat, inspired by Pilates and yoga, including planks, fascia rollers and balls (all available on site). Classical exercises at the barre and in the room follow.
Each session adapts to the fitness level of the participants, with the goal of working hard and being proud of what you achieve. Together our friendly group finds the balance between discipline and the sheer joy of dancing.

We dance together: newcomers are welcomed openly, we share feedback and enjoy the time on and off the mat.
Our instructor shapes each session so beginners build fundamentals while advanced dancers stay challenged, with optional chances to perform.
Wander through past shows and rehearsals, a look back at what moves us.
Every Monday we offer a free and non-binding trial training session. Simply contact the trainer, come along and join in!
From 2001 to 2024, Martin Becker managed our website with dedication and expertise, ensuring a strong online presence.
